Master Automotive Technician Job at Kamloops Mazda
The Cam Clark Auto Group is seeking a Master Automotive Technician for our Kamloops Mazda location.

In the position of Master Automotive Technician reporting to the Fixed Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for keeping our family of customers safely on the road by ensuring their vehicles are in top working order.
You will be accountable for:
- Performing work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
- Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and performing the repair.
- Communicating with the parts department to obtain needed parts.
- Saving and tagging parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer.
- Examining assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
- Communicating with service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
- Documenting all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
- Supervising work of any apprentice technicians as assigned.
- Reporting machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.
- Operating all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
- Reporting any safety issues immediately to management.
- Other tasks as assigned.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Five or more years of experience in a similar position
- A valid driver's license with a clean driver abstract and be familiar with both manual and automatic transmission types.
- Superior knowledge of complex mechanical or electric systems of vehicles.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work on your own or with a team.
- Integrity while performing extensive diagnostics and repairs.
- The ability to remain organized and handle multiple priorities.
- Strong Communication skills
