Sussex is actively seeking highly motivated maintenance/resident managers to join our team. Resident Managers play a significant role in our success. Candidates will possess strong interpersonal skills with a genuine interest in people. They will develop a strong sense of community in the buildings they manage acting as primary liaison between the tenants and head office. As an integral member of our team, they have a keen desire to take charge and accept full responsibility of the building and tenants under their management. We provide flexible hours, incentive pay options with full support of highly experienced property managers and support staff.

We are currently recruiting a Maintenance/Resident Manager for a 186 high rise building located at 50 Alpine for June 1. Resident Manager couples are encouraged to apply. Compensation starts with a full housing allowance for a two bedroom unit with all utilities included. additional salary will be negotiated based on experience.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

• Scheduling, inspecting, completing repairs in all units and common areas
• Taking out the garbage and recycling twice weekly
• Vacuuming hallways, mopping floors, cleaning the boiler room and the lobby regularly
• Clean and wash stairwells on a weekly basis
• Cleaning laundry rooms twice weekly
• Snow removal and lawn maintenance
• Pool maintenance (seasonal only)
• Alternating on call with the other Resident Manager
• Showing suites and completing move in/out condition reports
• Other duties may be required

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of maintenance experience (plumbing, carpentry, painting, general repairs, etc.)
• Resident Manager experience is an asset
• Clear criminal record check is required
• Must be legally able to work in Canada
