ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Coordinator who is looking to make a difference in the lives of seniors while being a part of a passionate and a talented team. You will :

• Perform general maintenance and repairs of facility (inside & outside), mechanical and electrical systems, detached buildings, grounds, furnishings and equipment.
• Conduct inspections, maintain preventative and corrective maintenance schedule, routine and on-demand services on facility equipment and systems.
• Ensure completion of work order tasks along with year round grounds keeping and maintenance.
• Care and maintain operation of equipment and systems such as heating system, ventilation system, emergency systems, hot water supply, etc.
• Maintain an inspection schedule for resident rooms.
• Ensure completion of routine and on demand services on facility equipment and systems along with inventory control.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR/QUALIFICATIONS

• 2-3 years of experience in building maintenance, grounds keeping, carpentry or a similar role
• Strong experience in prioritizing and managing conflicting demands
• Knowledge of furnaces, boiler, heating equipment etc.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract
• Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft word and excel
• Ability to lift heavy objects, walk, and stand for long periods of time
• Able to maintain patient and tactful composure when dealing with residents, family members, visitors and fellow employees

NOTE: The successful candidate must have a valid driver’s license and a clear driver’s abstract and Vulnerable Sector Check.
