Who we are:

The St. Croix Public Library in St. Stephen is one of 63 public libraries that make up the New Brunswick Public Library Service.

The position:

You will be responsible for:

• Managing library operations in accordance with provincial guidelines, and strategic priorities

• Recruitment, training, supervision, scheduling, and evaluation of staff

• Providing excellent service to the public through automated loan system, reader’s advisory, and reference services

• Overseeing the planning and implementing programs for all ages

• Serving as secretary to the library board and managing the library board budget

• Overseeing the management of library collections

• Handling community partnerships including the Town of St. Stephen

• Serving on regional and provincial committees

Some travel may be required. Library work will involve lifting.

To be successful:

• Master’s degree in Library and/or Information Studies from an American Library Association accredited program

• Written and spoken competence in English is required.

• You are people focused, organized, have effective interactive communication and relationship skills, as well as team

leadership skills.

Salary: $49,166 to $68,718 per year
