Lakeland College is hiring an instructor to develop and deliver curriculum in our Bachelor of Agriculture Technology degree and Crop Technology programs.

• Developing and delivering innovative course content utilizing education and work experiences in relation to emerging technology in agriculture including courses such as Advance Agronomy, Precision Farming, Machine Control and Sustainable Farm Business Management.
• Instructing and advising students in the Bachelor of Agriculture Technology program and working in coordination with Lakeland’s research team.
• Classroom, lab, and field trip instruction, preparation and marking of assignments and exams, as well as participation in program and department meetings.

• Master’s degree in Agriculture/Agribusiness or a closely related field with industry experience and knowledge.
• Ability to lead and motivate others while being committed to collaboration, effective goal setting and evaluation, and professional accountability.
• Background and industry experience in modern crop production and the emerging technologies that are impacting the world of agriculture.
• Ability to communicate effectively with refined presentation and facilitation.
• Knowledge and experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Demonstrates a positive attitude, willingness to accept and promote change.

This is a Sessional Full-time Faculty appointment on the Vermilion campus commencing August 1, 2023 and ending May 27, 2024. Lakeland College offers an attractive remuneration and benefit package.
