Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Administrator is the first point of contact for HR-related queries from employees and external partners. The main administrative duties include maintaining personnel records, managing HR documents (e.g., employment records and onboarding guides), updating internal databases, and providing relevant reporting to management. The ideal candidate has experience with HR procedures and can juggle various administrative tasks in a timely manner.

What you bring…

  • Degree or diploma in Human Resources or a related field is an asset
  • Proven work experience as an HR Administrator, HR Administrative Assistant, or relevant similar role
  • Working towards a CPHR designation preferred
  • Superior interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a confidential manner.
  • Ability to work with little supervision, coupled with an excellent team spirit.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to a changing work environment.
  • Excellent listening skills coupled with the ability to offer diplomatic, mature, considerate, sensitive, courteous clint-centered service.
  • Knowledge of the role and responsibilities of Human Resources and its various functions.

You will…

  • Support the Director of Human Resources in responding to general employee, candidate, and public human resource-related inquiries
  • Support recruitment and selection by assisting Hiring Managers and the Director of Human Resources with activities that are related to the administration of recruitment files, liaising with candidates, Hiring Managers, and assisting with screening processes where necessary
  • Collaborate with the Director of Human Resources to deliver all new employee orientations and onboarding processes facilitating a positive experience for new employees
  • Provide general HR support including maintaining a variety of databases, and records management systems (paper and electronic), preparing employment letters for employees, and providing general administrative support to the Payroll and Benefits Administrator and Director of Human Resources as required
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of practices, processes, and client service by seeking efficiencies and presenting them for consideration
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of a comprehensive HR Policy and Procedure manual
  • Participate in HR initiatives and projects in support of the HR plan and strategic goals
  • Participate in employee event planning and delivery
  • Participate in projects and other ad hoc duties as assigned by the Director of Human Resources

You must be legally eligible to work in Canada (e.g., be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada, or possess a valid work permit) and provide a satisfactory Criminal Background Check.
