We are currently looking for a knowledgeable and skilled Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic with the primary responsibility of maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and repair of fleet ready mix concrete trucks to join our project in Fort St. John, BC.

Requirements:

• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on fleet vehicles.
• Troubleshoot and repair vehicles.
• Operate service truck for emergency truck repairs.
• Complete daily work orders.
• Communicate with operators from other shifts.
• Maintain and secure work area.
• Clean and maintain work area.
• Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
• Perform backup for plant maintenance.
• Perform backup for warehouse.
• Provide on the job training to new employees.
• Order tools and machinery inventory parts.

Qualifications:

• Journeyman License.
• Valid Drivers License.
• 1-2 years of prior heavy-duty mechanical experience dealing with large fleet vehicles (Preferred)

What to expect:

• Work rotation - 2 weeks on, 1 week off
• Travel allowance, for those not able to take chartered flight or company vehicle from Edmonton
• Camp environment for those not local to Fort St. John

Candidate must undergo pre-employment drug and alcohol testing as part of the hiring process.
