Kan-Arm Contracting Ltd. is looking for laborers with experience working around heavy machinery in a diverse range of work environments. Personnel must have strong work ethic and be able to provide references. Looking for an immediate start to fill multiple positions. Experience with heavy civil, drilling, and blasting operations an asset. Candidates will be selected based on the following:

• Personnel is in good physical shape, able and willing to carry heavy loads up slopes, hiking, repetitive lifting
• Personnel has (at minimum) Class 5 License with a clean driver abstract
• Personnel is able and willing to pass pre-access drug & alcohol screening
• Personnel is able to provide a clean criminal record check, PAL, or NEXUS
• Must be a minimum of 18 years or older

Compensation will be dependent on relevant experience and capability of workload. Please submit a resume with references by e-mail; potential candidates will be contacted for interviews.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Clean and prepare construction sites.

· Load and unload materials and equipment.

· Assist heavy equipment operators and drillers (swamper duties).

· Operate and grease or complete basic maintenance on machinery and heavy equipment.

· Follow instructions from supervisors and implement construction plans.

· Assist skilled tradespeople such as drillers, blasters and surveyors in their duties.

· Complete all duties according to regulations, industry best practices and company policies, as well as Safe Work procedures.

· Help set up drill and equipment on site

· Perform material inventory as assigned.

· Maintaining water source as needed.

· Haul supplies and equipment as directed in a safe manner.

· Ensure truck being used is stocked with required consumables and tools/materials required for shift.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $25.00-$32.00 per hour
