Simcoe Renos is seeking 2-3 full time (3 month term to start) carpenter to join their team. We are looking for someone who has experience in all aspects of construction, with strengths in demolition, framing, and finishing carpentry. We are looking for someone who can arrive on site and recognize/address problems before they arise without being asked. This person will be working directly for the project manager on job sites from start to finish on projects. Applicants must be willing to work outside their general duties to ensure success in all projects.
Simcoe Renos is a Barrie, Ontario based residential construction company. Our team completes projects from north Muskoka to southern GTA. The applicant must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation to and from all job sites.
Responsibilities and Duties
Job Duties:
- General carpentry
- Minor framing
- Finishing carpentry
- Material take offs, pick up, and delivery
- Maintain site cleanliness
- Ensure sub contractors have what they need
- Troubleshoot with clients, managers, and contractors
- Site walk through to address potential issues
- Deficiency repairs upon completion
- Track all billable hours and expenses
- Maintain positive relationships with clients, colleagues and sub trades
Qualifications and Skills
Experience Required:
- Minimum 2 years in residential construction
- Proficient in framing and finishing carpentry
- Drivers license/Reliable transportation
- Experience with fine woodworking an asset
