Greenhouse farm & packhouse in Leamington, ON is looking to fill a position for a fulltime Financial Controller.

Description

The Controller will be responsible for preparing financial reports, statements and analyzing financial data. They will report directly to the owner and provide direct supervision to accounting staff.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide leadership and support to A/P, A/R and Payroll departments
• Responsible for overall financial reporting of the operation
• Compile and analyze financial reporting packages
• Prepare annual budgets, monthly/weekly forecasts
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts to supporting documentation, investigate and resolve reconciling items
• Participate in the development of and support the company’s strategic plans
• Complete credit application

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance or Accounting
• Accounting designation (CMA, CGA or CA), OR an equivalent combination of related experience and education
• Preferably have 5 years accounting experience in a senior accounting or financial management role
• Experienced in Financial Analyst, Strategic Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting
• Strong analytical and quantitative abilities; must have strong attention to details
• Strong management and communication skills
• Comfortable in fat-paced and dynamic business environment

Salary will be based on qualifications and experience.
