We are currently looking for a:
5G/LTE Physical Layer Developer
We are seeking a 5G/LTE Physical Layer Developer to join our Software Defined Radio team. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience developing physical layer solutions for 5G or LTE wireless communication systems or proficiency in embedded software development.
Our team specializes in creating solutions that are optimized for power and performance, utilizing Octasic's proprietary multi-core digital signal processors and integrated into our own software-defined radio platforms. This position offers the opportunity to work on exciting projects and be a part of a dynamic team that is breaking new ground in wireless technology.
Your responsibilities will include:
Contributing to the development and maintenance of physical layer software for 5G/LTE on Octasic’s multi-core SoCs
- Contributing to the writing and validation of code as part of an agile development team
- Contributing to the writing and reviewing of technical documentation for internal and external use
- Collaborating with other team members and departments to align on project objectives and deliverables
Profil
To be considered for this role, you should have:
A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
- At least 2 years of experience in physical layer or embedded systems development
- A solid understanding of embedded systems, multi-core processors, DSP processors, and RTOS
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, scripting tools such as Python, debugging and validation tools, and design and code review methodologies
- Familiarity with real-time tools, programming tools such as Microsoft Visual Studio, revision control, and bug tracking tools
- Strong English language skills, both written and spoken, and basic French language skills
- A self-sufficient, resourceful, and meticulous approach to work, with a strong aptitude for learning.
Additional assets that would be beneficial include:
Experience with test equipment such as digital scopes, MXA, and MXG
- Familiarity with agile development environments and processes
- Experience with wireless systems in L2/L3 and higher layer communication protocols and networking
- Knowledge of DSP signal processing, MATLAB, and RF technology.
